Lightweight Camping Course, Maitland Trail

Participants will be determining the menu, budget, schedule, etc. and will learn about trip planning, group and personal gear, backpacks and packing, leadership, food storage, trip preparation, hygiene, water purification, weather awareness, fire safety, map and compass skills, waste disposal, and risk management while on a 25 km hiking trip. This is a great way to kick off your Scouting year. Maximum of 12 participants.

Who: any active Rover Scout or Scouter

Planning Meeting: Sat. Sept. 17th, 2016 8:00AM-5:00 PM @ SpencerLodge, 531 Windermere Rd, London, ON N5X 2T1

Trip Dates: Sept. 30 – Oct. 2, 2016, Maitland Trail

Cost: To be determined at Planning Meeting

Payment: Please make payment out to "Scouts Canada". Please enter course name on the memo line. Mail to London Area Training, 531 Windermere Road, London, ON, N5X 2T1 or use the London Area Training drop box at Spencer Lodge (Cheques only - no cash please.)

Payment Policy: NSF cheques will incur Bank penalty fees. A $10 penalty will be imposed for each registration received less than a week prior to event date.
