Announcement: New AC for Bluewater Area

It's my pleasure to announce that Ralph Wilhelm has been appointed as the new Area Commissioner for Bluewater Area.

Ralph has been an active Scouter working directly with the youth sections with the 1st Bright’s Grove Group for the past 9 years. For the past 4, Ralph has been the Group Commissioner and Troop Scouter. Prior to that he served as a DAC for the Cub Section on the Bluewater Area Service Team and was also a beaver and cub leader all with 1st Bright’s Grove. He completed his scouting as a youth in North Waterloo with the 1st St. Jacobs Cub and Scout Sections.

Ralph is joined in scouting by his son who is currently a 4th year Scout and also by his wife Betty-Ann who has been the Bluewater Area Popcorn Fundraising Coordinator.

For the past 3 years Ralph (with the assistance of his other Scout Leaders) has organized his Troop's week long summer camp excursion to Camp Tamaracouta in Quebec.

Professionally, Ralph is a Marine Engineer and works for the Canadian Coast Guard as the Manager of a national refit program taking care of an aging fleet of vessels.

Please join me in welcoming Ralph to his new role. He will be taking over the existing Service Team for Bluewater Area and if asked please help out.

At your service,
