Announcement: New AC for Windsor Area

It's my pleasure to announce that, effective immediately, Trevor McFadyen has been appointed as the new Area Commissioner for Windsor Area.

Born in Edmonton and raised on a horse ranch in west-central Alberta, Trevor spent many summers and winters hiking, mountain biking and skiing in the Canadian Rockies.  His first job was as a guide on the North Boundary Trail of Jasper National Park, helping to wrangle 40 horses and 20 guests on fifteen to thirty day backcountry wilderness trips. These experiences spawned a 20 year career serving national parks that included working as communications advisor to the Director-General of Western and Northern Canada and the Deputy Minister of the Parks Canada Agency.

Trevor’s family has been in Scouting for four generations stretching back to the 1930’s in Northern Ontario.  Trevor was a Scout in the 1st Tomahawk troop and his son is currently a Beaver in the 107th Windsor.  He comes to the Windsor Area team with a BA in English Literature from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Windsor where he currently works as a Professor at the Odette School of Business.

Please join me in welcoming Trevor to his new role. He will be starting to form a new Service Team for Windsor Area immediately so please help out where asked.

At the same time, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Mike Cholubko for his efforts and leadership over the past three years. Mike has truly left a strong legacy with which Trevor and the Area can work for some time to come. Mike will be working with Trevor to clean up a few items as he moves on to new opportunities.

At your service,
