Dear Scouters,

It is my sincere pleasure to announce the appointment of Stewart Giem as the Council Youth Commissioner for Tri-Shores Council, effective August 1st, 2014.

Stewart is a graduate of Fanshawe College in the Architectural Technology program. Stewart has been a member of Scouting since Beaver Scouts and is a member of the 1st Dorchester Rover Crew. Most recently Stewart served as the Deputy Area Commissioner- Recognition in Mindaamin Area. Additionally, Stewart serves as a property manager at Camp BEL in Dorchester, Ontario.

Stewart has a strong volunteer background in and outside of Scouting. Stewart’s experience and focus on the Canadian Path will help him to be effective in Tri-Shores Council and as a member of the National Service Team.

I would like to take a moment and thank Heather Eskritt for her service as the Council Youth Commissioner in Tri-Shores Council. As her term comes to an end, please join me in wishing her well as she moves on to her next adventures, including studying Tourism Management at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Please join me in welcoming Stewart to his new role with Scouts Canada!

Yours in Scouting,
