Western Ontario ASMs

Western Ontario Area Support Managers

March 12 2018

Staff and Volunteers:

First, I would like to introduce Stephanie Slipiec as the newest Area Support Manager for Tri-Shores Council.

Stephanie has been an ASM supporting the Greater Toronto Council since December 2014, and will be transitioning to support the Windsor, Essex and Chatham Areas in Tri-Shores Council effective March 26th, 2018.

Stephanie comes from a background of business and sales, where she worked for Starbucks Coffee Canada for 8 years as a Store Manager, as well as owning and consulting for a small business in the GTA for about 5 years. Stephanie loves to spend time with her husband Brad and their three children, Isabelle, Olivia and Greyson; they love to experience the outdoors through camping at their favourite provincial parks, playing soccer and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays! Stephanie attended the University of Windsor obtaining her BA in Sociology and Philosophy, where she met her husband, started a family and lived for 10 years; she is very excited to be back and living in Windsor!

Catriona McCready will begin her maternity leave at the beginning of April.

As a result of these two changes we will be adjusting the Areas the ASMs within Western Ontario will be supporting.

Sarah Ransome will be completely focusing on London. This direct support of London will allow for the continued growth London is currently experiencing and will work with the two Area Commissioners and Youth Commissioner to positively impact the five priorities.

Bryan Meere will now direct his focus on the Bluewater and Mindaamin Areas within Tri-Shores, as well as Brant Area within Battlefields.

Bryan Smith will be moving to support Hamilton in Battlefields, and Waterloo within Central Escarpment.

David Stokes will support: Frontier, Elgin and Sydenham Areas, within Tri-Shores.

Kevin Bouchard will support: Oakville, Burlington and Wellington Areas within Central Escarpment Council, and Lynn Valley Area within Battlefields Council.

Justin Way will support: Credit Hills, Yellow Briar and Mississauga Areas within Central Escarpment.

Ashley Waters will support: Niagara, St. Catharines and Haldimand Areas within Battlefields.

The above changes will take place on March 26, 2018.

We are all looking forward to these changes to help support the work we do within Western Ontario and continue to grow Scouting.

If anyone has and questions or comments, please contact me at or at 519-709-7499

Take Care,

Ian Foss
